Here are my pictures from day 13 and day 14. Day 13 was filled with opportunities for photos, but I faced obstacles like dead batteries and just being slow to react. My grandparents had a barn built in their backyard many, many years ago. The barn was torn down today. I'd planned to get one last picture, but by the time I arrived the men had torn it down. I guess I could have taken a picture of the pile of rubble, but I was too lazy to walk back to the car for the camera.

Tuesday was a good TV night. American Idol began its new season, and the Biggest Loser was on. So, I had to Tivo one show and watch the other. I chose to watch American Idol, and that's where my photo for day 13 came from.

My goal for the year was to post a picture of the day each day. I have quickly realized that this is not going to be possible. While I am taking my picture each day, it is not always possible for me to post to the blog. Here are a few shots from the past few days.

I saw this sunset as I was out and about, and I thought it was the most unusal sight. The clouds were red in color, and the lines seemed to lead you into the sunset.

I went to the movies after work to see T.D. Jakes new Movie "Not Easily Broken". The movie wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Here's a shot that I took before entering the theatre.

This is one of my favorite figurines, "The Prayer" by Thomas Blackshear. I love the detail and the intensity on the man's face. It reminds me of my paternal grandfather, Eugene, a strong and God fearing man who lived to be 93 years old.

Well after being off since December 19th, it was time for me to head back to work. I really didn't want to get up, but when the alarm clock went off I had to do what I had to do.

Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that 2009 is here already. I am thankful to God for allowing me to see another year and for the opportunity to begin another chapter in my life.

One of my goals for the year is to take a photo a day, thus "Project 365." It is my hope that this will chronicle the events of the year, as well as help me develop my photographic skills. Stay tune to see how the year develops.
